Elementary School "Mića Stojković"- our school, city and country presentation! Our school is situated in Belgrade municipality Grocka, in a village Umčari. it is named upon a local hero, student who died in The Second World War. School is part of the UNESCO ASP and ETwinning school. it has a long tradition of international cooperation . It has four subordinate and one main school. Students from 7 to 15 years go to school. There are many workshops and interesting activities for students. Belgrade is wonderful city built on the river banks of two rivers- Sava and Danube. It has a long and rich history- it was once Celtic settlement, then Roman, Hungarian, Serbian, Turkish and Austrian fortress that connected important parts of great empires. Today it a city with many monuments but it does not lack modern manifestations and interesting events that bring tourists from all over the world to visit Serbia.
